Meteora is located right in the heart of Greece, with its mystical and mythical rock formations that prove to be an attraction for many visitors every year. Rock climbing here is a truly special experience.

Meteora is characterised by spectacular rock formations in central Greece, whose spires rise high into the sky above the tranquil Greek countryside, towering over the lush green vegetation and creating a striking scene. Meteora is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rock climbing around Meteora is an unforgettable experience, with absolutely stunning and breathtaking views on every climb.

Meteora is a rock climbing arena with many routes. It doesn't matter if you are a complete beginner or a more experienced climber: there are options for every level!

I suggest you take yourself there to enjoy the impressive climbing and admire the beautiful views of the Kalampaka Valley, at the foot of the rock bastions.

Programme:

Day 1: Departure from Bulgaria at the time and place agreed with the participants.
Arrival and accommodation at Vrachos camping, village. Camping in Vrachos, arrival and departure point.
After settling in we pitch our tents, have a bite to eat and go climbing.

We start with the Dupiani tower, which rises above the last houses at the end of Kastraki village and is the most popular climbing rock in Meteora thanks to its easy and quick approach. It also has good quality rock that looks and feels sturdier than that of most towers. Here you will find several well equipped easier routes.

Day 2÷3: Climbing a variety of routes on the sectors in the area.
8:00 am - Breakfast
9:00 am - Meeting point at Vrachos campsite, r. 9:00 - Saturday, morning.
Departure for sector climbs in the area.

Day 4:
8:00 am - Breakfast.
After breakfast we collect our luggage and head back to Sofia.

Prices
Individual price: 1 800 lv. For two: 1 000 BGN/person.

Note:
- Prices include: guide and general equipment for the link
- The price does not include: transport, accommodation, insurance, food and drinks, personal equipment (seat, espadrilles, magnesium bag, personal insurance), bivouac equipment.
- The programme is subject to change according to weather conditions.

Conditions for participation: - Must be at least 18 years of age - Have no health problems related to the specificity of rock climbing and the resulting stresses. - Extreme insurance for the days of the program (Participants without insurance are not allowed!)
- Skills in handling climbing equipment (tying knots, securing a partner, self-belaying).
- It is recommended that each participant has a personal first aid kit.
