JAMDZHIEV EDGE - WINTER

A beautiful and impressive mountain edge characterised by long stretches of gentle to moderate climbing combined with technical passages.

A route extremely suitable for an introduction to mountaineering, traversing scenic terrain along one of the edges of the Pyrenean summit, Mt. Vihren.

Programme:

Day 1: 

Departure and arrival at Shiligarnika. 
Hike m. 1. 90 ÷ 120 min.  Accommodation in h. Vihren

Day 2:

5:30 a.m. departure from h. 120 ÷ 150 min.
150 - 150 minutes climbing along the Dzhamdzhiev rim to reach Mt. 120 ÷ 150 min.
Descent to Mt. Vihr. B. ÷ 150 min. Vihren - m. 210 ÷ 240 min.

Note: the crossing times are approximate and depend on the pace of the group, weather conditions and snow cover.

Important!

In the event of deteriorating weather conditions and/or other force majeure circumstances, the leader may turn the group back or change the route to ensure the safety of the participants.

Personal equipment required:

- A backpack accommodating the items listed below

- Hat - 2 pcs.
- Water and windproof jacket and trousers (overalls) 

- Down jacket

- Thermal underwear - top and bottom
- Warm clothing - fleece/fleece top 
- Comfortable hiking shoes with hard soles
- Sunglasses 
- Sun cream 
- Food and drinks according to personal needs for a day of long hiking and intense exertion

- Mobile phone with charged battery 
- Headlamp with new/charged batteries

- Climbing helmet

- Climbing seat (harness)

- Pickel

- Cats

- Avalanche kit - avalanche gear, shovel, probe

For a group of two people, the price is 30% discount!

Remark: 

To ensure the maximum level of safety, one guide leads up to a maximum of two participants.
In case of more than two participants, the group is divided among the corresponding number of guides 

Price includes: guide, general equipment

Price does not include: insurance, logistic costs, accommodation, food, drinks and other personal expenses, personal equipment.

Conditions of participation:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- You must not have any health problems related to the specificity of mountaineering and the resulting stresses.
- Extreme insurance for the days of the program (Participants without insurance are not allowed!)

- Good mountaineering skills
- Self-organisation of transport and accommodation (Shared travel between participants is possible).

- It is recommended that each participant has a personal first aid kit.
