The area of the Ionian Islands is extremely attractive and the imprint of the Venetian presence in the local architecture adds to the charm and uniqueness of the place. One of our favourite destinations for kayaking adventures in the area is definitely the island of Lefkada. All along the west coast of the island, the colour of the sea ranges from deep blue, blending into different shades of emerald and turquoise, to sky blue. It's a sight that lasts a lifetime and is a favourite of divers and photographers.
During the event there will be kayaking, cave visits, cliff jumping, diving, delicious food, nice drinks in the breeze and a great mood.
The event is open to children over 12, people with no experience, intermediate and advanced, but the most important thing is to have an adventurous spirit.
A beach and dive break is provided every hour.
Program:
- On the evening of 21.05.2024 we meet at 21:30 in front of Vasil Levski Stadium, Sofia, we leave at 22:00 and, in order to make the most of our days and not to wait pointlessly at the border, we will travel at night. Once we arrive in Lefkada in the morning, we will have breakfast and coffee in Nidri, where we will buy fresh fish from the local fish market and replenish our food supplies.
We check in at Santa Maura campsite, which is located on the fabulous Desimi beach. We will unload our equipment and kayaks and after a short break we will do a briefing and exploratory kayak tour until sunset. In the evening we return to the campsite to have dinner and relax.
The rowing distance for the day is 6 km.

Blue Cave:
We have breakfast and kayak across the turquoise-ink sea to a unique cave entered through a narrow slit in the rocks. The gallery inside is dimly lit, but the light coming in from outside gives the feeling of boundless blue. Throughout the day we will enjoy beautiful rock formations and relax on wild beaches. The area is particularly conducive to diving, rock climbing and cliff jumping.
For the evening we again plan a free program. We return to the campsite for dinner and rest.

Meganisi Island:
On this day the paddling will be leisurely. We will head to the small town of Spartohori, which is the capital of the island. We will reach a harbour named Porto Spilia. There we leave the kayaks and take a short walk to the settlement, which is located at the highest part of the island. The first sight we see is a huge stone terrace where centuries ago a fortress was located to protect the island from pirates. From there we have a stunningly beautiful view of the Scorpidi archipelago and Scorpio Island. We'll have lunch at a tavern, then return to the campsite in our kayaks.
In the evening we will visit the town of Nidri in an organized van and have dinner in a local tavern.

West Coast:
Excitement and wind permitting, we will paddle along the coast from Gialos Beach to the famous Porto Catsiki Beach and back. We will rest on one of the best beaches in Greece, Egremni, which is 2,5 kilometers long and covered with very clean light sand. This is definitely a breathtaking place with its turquoise waters and high cliffs. We'll have lunch and a beer at Porto Katsiki, and in the evening we'll have dinner at a tried and tested taverna in Vasiliki.

Departure for Bulgaria
We assemble at 9.00 am and all together we collect the equipment, wash and load the kayaks on the trailers and around 1.00 pm we depart back to Bulgaria. Expected arrival in front of Vasil Levski Stadium, Sofia is 23.00. Note: The organizers reserve the right to change the program depending on the weather conditions in order to ensure maximum safety of the participants.

Our mission is to pass on our knowledge to you, so during the event everyone will learn or improve the following techniques:
- Lifting, Carrying;
- Getting the kayak in and out of the sea;
- Effective forward paddling;
- Paddling backwards, stopping;
- Lateral movement;
- Changing direction;
- Maintaining, correcting and changing course;
- Techniques for dealing with environmental phenomena;
- Group behaviour;
- Basic techniques to avoid capsizing;
- Self-rescue and assisted rescue;
- Basic principles of movement at sea.
You can travel free of charge with the means of transport for the kayaks and equipment, until the free places are exhausted or with your own transport, the price does not change.
Space for luggage is limited. You can bring a backpack, pack, tent and food.
No need to bring tables and chairs, we've got you covered.
We leave from the parking lot in front of the main entrance of the National Stadium "Vasil Levski", Sofia and return there again, we do not offer personal visits.
ACCOMMODATION: Overnight stay at Santa Mavra campsite - 10 euros per night (specially negotiated price for Dopamine Team clients), paid by each person on site. The campsite also offers hotel accommodation, prices are according to the season, payable in person to the hotel.
Traditionally, meals are at the campsite. It is recommended to bring prepared food for at least the first day. We have provided everything needed for a field kitchen and to feed the whole group. You do not need to bring absolutely anything.
If you want to eat at our campsite, each participant has to bring their own ingredients or buy them on site. We can't miss the opportunity to buy fresh fish and fish delicacies from local fish markets, fishmongers or shops to barbecue at the campsite.
If desired, anyone can eat at the tavern or buy food from local shops.
During the trip from Sofia to Greece, we will have a refrigerator in the van in which we can stow perishables. Our first stop is at a 24-hour convenience store in Kresna where we can buy water and groceries. The campsite usually has fridges in the communal kitchens.
We have a coffee machine at your disposal and the coffee is unlimited. It is your responsibility to prepare your own dry food and sandwiches for the kayak treks, and you must have food and water provided for the time on the water according to your personal needs.
The events we organise are of the adventure type and are open to all, beginners and experienced people alike, as well as children over a certain age described in the event. Each event has a published difficulty level and the distance we will cover on the day. The routes are chosen so that there is a beach and dive break approximately every hour. You will feel more comfortable if you have at least average fitness.

Money paid will be refunded immediately if the reason for the event not taking place is due to travel restrictions, if we do not form a group or due to a significant deterioration in the weather across the region. Depending on weather conditions, an alternative kayaking destination in another region of Greece may be chosen.
The maximum number of participants in the organised transport is 20 and the programme is run with a minimum of 8 participants.
If a group cannot be formed with the minimum number of participants, the organizer will notify all registrants up to 7 days before the event date.

Personal responsibility is the provision of:
